This Morhiss dart point bears traces of asphaltum, like many other dart points from Morhiss Mound, a site on the lower Guadalupe River some 20 miles inland from the head of San Antonio Bay. Asphaltum was used as a hafting adhesive to affix stone tools onto wooden handles or dart shafts. TARL Collections.
