Bifacial Clear Fork tools are flaked on both sides, but have a beveled working edge on one face. It is not known whether there were different uses for bifacial and unifacial forms of the tools, but there does seem to be a difference in their ages. Although the specimens shown were recovered from undatable backdirt piles, bifacial Clear Forks from other sites were found in early contexts and associated with Paleoindian and Early Archaic points ( for example, the Wilson-Leonard and Baker Cave sites).
