Michael Collins on reconnaissance at Kincaid Shelter in 1988. The Paleoindian specialist, now deeply immersed in writing up findings from the Gault site in Bell County, Texas, still hopes to complete his analysis of the Kincaid findings. He notes that, although all cultural deposits were removed from the shelter, the artifact collections and records are curated for posterity at the Texas Archeological Research Laboratory at UT-Austin, ready for future analysts to study and interpret using latest techniques and perspectives.
