The bone tools from the Morhiss site include whole and fragmentary small antler billets, split deer metapodial awls or pins, whole metapodial awls, and small pins or fine awls manufactured from bird bones. The antler billet is characteristic of those from 41VT1 having a rather flattened working end (top) and a smoothed base. The body of the billet is slightly polished from use. The smallest item (right) is a bird bone pin or awl. TARL Collections. |
