| VV425... This ancient wooden mortar and pestle was found hidden in a small dry cave near the Pecos River in Val Verde County. Wooden mortars are never found in open sites such as Morhiss, but are a good candidate for one of kinds of artifacts that the site's many adzes were used to make. TARL Archives, 41VV425. |
