Gray and yellow-brown quartz arenite (quartzite) from quarry site (41DV134) in northwestern Duval County. The gray material is of better quality and seems to have been preferred. These materials were “embedded boulders” and are probably part of the Ancient (“Uvalde”) Gravel exposures, which are numerous on the tops of ridges in northern Duval County and vicinity.
