Most Tortugas dart points show evidence of blade resharpening. The most characteristic method is alternate edge beveling, such as those in the top row. The specimens on the bottom row were resharpened by “invasive” flaking, meaning that sharpening flakes were removed by pressure and extend onto the face of the specimen, removing both a portion of the worn edge as well as thinning the cross-section of the point.
