| Examples of serrated Perdiz points from the elaborate Rough Run cairn burial site in the Big Bend area of the Trans Pecos. The finely made, oversized Perdiz point on the left was found above the individual’s head, pointing straight downward. This is thought to represent a “ceremonial” piece left as a special offering, rather than an ordinary arrow point tip such as the other points.
