A dart point with an complex past, this specimen was made of banded dolomite, or Alibates flint, which outcrops along the Canadian Breaks of the Texas Panhandle some 300 miles northwest of the site. The style of the point resembles types more common in East Texas and Louisiana, perhaps as early as 3000 years ago.
