Photographs of the excavations in Mound C at the George C. Davis site show how Alba points and Gahagan knives were found within the burials. In photograph a, Alba arrow points in Feature 161 are tightly clustered and with tips all in one direction as if they had been hafted and in a quiver. Two elaborate stone celts (axe heads) were also recovered nearby. (Photographs courtesy of the Texas Archeological Research Laboratory and Harry J. Shafer). |
