Funerary items from Feature 65, an Early Historic grave containing an adult man and a secondary cremation. On the left is a fragmentary bone artifact resembling a "dagger" that could have been fashioned from a human femur based on the size and curvature of the bone. On the top row of the photo from left to right: deer antler billet, bone points fashioned from the fin spines of very large fish (kingfish?), a chert drill. On the bottom row are heavily oxidized iron objects including three wrought nails and two flat tool fragments of undetermined form. Photo by Bob Ricklis. |
